Members and Guests
Open Carry is legal in Texas however Greenwood Gun Club does not allow open carry on premise. Open carry is not compatible with range safety and club rules. In order to continue to ensure safety on our ranges, there will be no open carry on Greenwood Gun Club property.
You are still permitted to conceal carry on GGC property if you have a CHL, but do not mix your shooting experience and concealed carry. If you draw from concealment it is breaking club rules. Act as you would in a public place. Displaying your firearm in a non-emergency situation would be considered "brandishing".
Brazosport & Brazoria County Gun Club

It shall be a further object and purpose to cultivate the development of those characteristics of honesty, good fellowship, self-discipline, team play and self-reliance, which are essentials of good sportsmanship and the foundation of true patriotism.
Greenwood Gun Club promotes archery, black powder, pistol, rifle and shotgun through ongoing matches throughout the year. These matches are open to the public check range schedule. All other range use for members and their guests only.
Our youth outreach uses the 4-H Shootings Sports program. It is available to area youth to teach gun & archery safety and shooting sports along with the other tenets for youth development through the 4-H program.
Greenwood also sponsors a Junior Highpower team that competes at Camp Perry every year as part of the TSRA State Team
Greenwood also allows FFA to use and train at our shotgun range on FM 2004 near Angleton.
Did you know; Everyone born after September 2, 1971, must successfully complete a hunter education course to hunt in Texas.
You can go toto find when and where hunter education courses are offered. It is often difficult to find courses in our area.
The Safari Club International has teamed up with retailers like Carter Country to sponsor classes that provide free things that far exceed the $15.00 cost of the course. Students 14 years of age or younger must be accompanied by an adult.
We recommend accompanying adults, also take the course, even If already certified to hunt. Attached is a flyer advertising the two courses sponsored by Safari Club International.
