Hunter Education Internet + Field Course - August 5, 2023 On August 5th, 2023, the Greenwood Gun Club will host the Hunters Education Internet + Field Course. This class is for people that need hunters’ education, that were born after Sept 2, 1971 and are between the ages of 9 and 17. Everyone born after September 2, 1971 must successfully complete a hunter education course to hunt in Texas. This is a combination class. The classroom portion of the class must be completed online. The class can be found at either of these sites. DO NOT PAY AT THESE SITES. Youth cannot complete their certifications online, only in person. After completing the online homework, print out the TPWD Final Quiz or NRA Field Course Voucher and present it to your hunter education instructor at the Field Day. Parents are welcome to attend the classes with their children or can drop them off for the class. If you wish to attend with your child, please to not register. Registration is only needed for a student, not a chaperone. The sign in for the class will be at the Archery building of the Greenwood Gun Club, 550 County Road 508, Brazoria, TX.
The class is limited to 25 students, and you must register using the link below. Registration is via the Texas Parks and Wildlife registration site. We will have a 30 minute lunch break and recommend bringing a sack lunch and snacks if needed. Water will be provided. We recommend bringing insect repellant, rain gear (depending on the weather) and close toed shoes are required. Please do not bring your personal firearms for this class.
