The FM521 range supports rifle, pistol, cowboy action and archery.
A red light system is employed at all firing points for safety:
Red lights ON indicates that the range is “COLD”, members can go down range to repair or replace targets, and that no firearms are to be handled. Red lights OFF indicates the range is “HOT” and that all members are to stay behind the firing line during live fire.
Rifle:
This range includes 50 yard, 100 yard, 200 yard, and 300 yard practice
target backboards, plus a 300 meter swinging gong. Shooting benches are
provided. The firing points are covered.
A
600 yard competition range is offered, with firing berms located at
200, 300, 500 and 600 yard lines. This range has 14 numbered firing
points with vertical moving target frames located in a below ground
protection “pit”.
NRA and CMP competitive rifle matches are routinely fired on the competition range.
Pistol:
This range includes 50 yard, 50 foot, and 25 yard pistol practice
backboards. The firing points are covered and shooting benches are
provided. Competition pistol matches regularly utilize this range.
Cowboy Action: This range is provided for use in Cowboy Action competition.
Archery:
This range is provided for use in archery practice and competition.
Fixed target frames are provided. As well, a 3 dimensional “hunting
trail” with life-size animals is available for competition shooting. The
fixed target firing points are covered.
